Some images from Amsterdam

Some wooden clogs hang in the doorway of a 17th century windmill.

Mark and I just returned from a week long break in London and Amsterdam.

Here are some of the images I've managed to process so far. It might take some time to go through all of them as I took over 900 images.

A summer wedding on a beach

Lilla and Gareth said "I do" on Saturday, June 30 on a beach along Bermuda's South Shore.
They were joined by guests from both The Royal Gazette and Mid-Ocean News, as well as family and friends who joined them in celebration as the sun slowly slipped below the horizon.




The Royal Gazette photographer, David Skinner was their official wedding photographer and used every opportunity to capture the lovely couple - even if it meant stealing the flute player's chair.

Lilla and Gareth were joined by Lilla's daughter Bella, who could barely hide her joy at finally seeing her mother and Gareth joined in marriage.

And they're off!

The 30th Anniversary of the Marion Bermuda Race began Friday in 15 to 18 knots of wind sailing in the best waters of the northeast, Buzzards Bay, in the historic town of Marion, Massachusetts.

The amateur cruising yacht open ocean passage is 645 nautical miles of sailing finishing in St. David's Head in Bermuda a few days later depending on how the wind blows!

It is a life experience that can bridge the gap between generations, solidify friendships and foster teamwork.

The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club hosts the event.

May 24th - A celebration of everything Bermudian

Every May 24th, thousands of Bermudians line the streets of Hamilton to celebrate their Bermudian Heritage. The Heritage Day Parade is the highlight of the year and what took only two hours five years ago, now takes all day. Mark and I arrived at our "perch" above The Beach at about noon. We only left at 5 p.m. when the last of the parade participants came by. We were later told "Jo crazy bye, ya only go to de parade once every five years..." Thanks for telling us. But it was worth it. We wanted to share some of the images of that day with you so here goes... enjoy!

Who says Bermudians are conservative. No matter what age you are, you can take "some of it off" for a parade.

Fog. Not something you see everyday in Bermuda

What a wonderful surprise to open the door the other night and discover a thick fog hanging over the valley. Not only that night, but also the next day.

Ok, enough about photography. I've written my final and that's that. I start the next course later in June and until then I can play, relax and have some fun.
